Personal Injury Paralegal

Atlanta, GA | Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex litigation matters, including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and serious personal injury cases. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a substantial caseload from pre-suit through trial.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value cases involving significant injuries and damages while collaborating closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution
  • Assist attorneys with wrongful death and catastrophic injury litigation
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and settlement demands
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, billing records, employment records, and insurance documents
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, healthcare providers, and expert witnesses
  • Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and litigation documents
  • Monitor case deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
  • Prepare discovery materials, trial exhibits, and hearing binders
  • Assist with depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Calculate damages and compile supporting documentation for settlement negotiations
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and document collection

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of personal injury paralegal experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting attorneys in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases
  • Strong understanding of Georgia personal injury litigation procedures
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and damages documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Trial preparation experience strongly preferred
  • Paralegal certificate preferred but not required
